2006 Hit K-Drama, “Princess Hours” to Have A Remake!

It’s time to meet Prince Lee Shin and Shin Chae Gyeong once again!

Princess Hours (Goong) is set to have a new remake! According to a news report from Sports Chosun, the 2006 hit K-drama may have an own remake anytime soon. Jae Dam Entertainment, who was responsible for the drama’s first adaptation in 2006, has signed a contract with Group 8 to remake the said series.

Originally written as manhwa, Goong is written by Park So Hee and is a popular comics back in the mid-2000s. The manhwa is also being under revisions to become a full colored webtoon.

The drama, Princess Hours is one of the pioneer shows that drove the Hallyu Wave to the Philippines. The fans were truly swayed with the drama’s unusual plot back in the day – two teenage schoolmates were suddenly trapped in an arrange marriage whereas the girl joins the modern royal family. Prince Lee Shin (portrayed by Ju Ji Hoon) and Shin Chae Gyeong (portrayed by Yoo Eun Hye) faces with different marital problems that comes along with their road to adulthood.

There are no further details regarding the filming schedule, casts, and production as of writing.
