BTS performs their top hits and more at MTV Unplugged
It’s been a week since BTS performed their hits at MTV Unplugged and it definitely wraps up the roller coaster feels we’ve had going a year into lockdown.
Aside from the win of being featured in a show that started back in 1989, ARMYs are also buzzing with excitement with the return of Suga to perform together with the rest of his bandmates. This performance comes after the rapper took a break to recover from a surgery.
The group performed three tracks from their latest album ‘BE’ – their title track Life Goes On, the boppy track Telepathy, and the melancholic song Blue and Grey.
Life Goes On
This track is definitely different from all their title tracks from past albums.
It was described by fans as a gift, a toned down and meaningful song that reassures you of the best that could happen even if you are anxious about worries the pandemic has brought.
Like an echo in the forest
The day will come back around
As if nothing happened
Yeah life goes on
Telepathy
Of course not all of the happenings from the past year have been bad or downright sad.
This song encourages its listeners to let go of worries and find happiness in remembering the happy times we’ve spent in the past.
And to look forward to the time with our loved ones and everything else will be okay.
Blue and Grey
Starting off with V’s low, melancholic tone, Blue and Grey definitely captures the moments we all have been unsure of what the day or what tomorrow might bring – resonating so much on the phrase “someone come and save me please.”
This song pulls on your heart strings with its clear, slow instrumentals and vocals that conveys emotions we’ve all experienced during these trying times.
Dynamite
the performance will not be complete without the group performing their chart topping hit song Dynamite. Shoes on, get up in the morn’, cup of milk, let’s rock and roll!
Donning an all white fashion repertoire, watch as BTS members are all smiles in their MTV Unplugged performance of Dynamite:
Lastly, one that created the biggest buzz on social media, is their rendition of Coldplay’s top hit “Fix You.”
A finale that the band aimed to share to everyone the comfort and healing that they got from the song.
Of course, only you could be the judge if they gave it justice, you can watch their performance below:
