Park Hyung Sik and Han Hyo Joo are in talks for upcoming tVN apocalyptic drama
Park Hyung Sik and Han Hyo Joo may be the protagonists of the upcoming thriller apocalyptic drama, “Happiness”.
On April 15, a source from UAA, Hyung Sik’s management, says that he is positively reviewing the offer.
Meanwhile, Han Hyo Joo is also affirmative on her appearance to the drama, according to the actress’ agency, BH Entertainment.
“Happiness” depicts the new normal, living under the constant threat for infectious diseases. It is set in an apartment whereas the higher floors are up for general sales while the lower floors are for rent.
Eventually, the whole city will suffer from an apocalypse as it faces another type of infectious disease.
In addition, it is an apocalyptic thriller that highlights social class discrimination and psychological difficulties.
Park Hyung Sik is being considered to play the male lead, Jung Yi Hyun. A police officer assigned in violent crimes. He is also a former baseball player in highschool, but was forced to quit due to his knee injury. Jung Ji Hyun is an intelligent character with principles for the good.
Meanwhile, Han Hyo Joo is in talks for the female lead, Yoon Sae Bom, who grew up with a lonely childhood. Sae Bom has swift judgement and likes to put things in action. She lives by the motto “live comfortably in the complicated world”.
If accepted, this will be Han Hyo Joo’s first project after five years, since “W”.
“Happiness” is created by Ahn Gil Ho and written by Han Sang Woon. Both of them previously worked on the drama, “Watcher”.
The drama is reportedly scheduled to air by the second half 2021.
