Byeon Woo Seok and Kang Mina confirm to join ‘When Flowers Bloom, I Think of the Moon’ cast line-up

South Korean stars Byeon Woo Seok and Kang Mina will join the cast line-up for KBS 2TV’s upcoming historical drama, When Flowers Bloom, I Think of the Moon!

An official from KBS shared on May 5, ” Byeon Woo Seok and Kang Mina confirmed to join the drama, completing the cast line-up of four young stars.”

In the previous reports, Yoo Seung Ho and Lee Hyeri also accepted the casting offer, preparing us for the tandem of these four great actors.

When Flowers Bloom, I Think of the Moon is set in the Joseon Dynasty that tells the story of four young people who share friendship, fall drunk in love, and grow as a person in the period of strongest prohibition laws in Joseon history.

It will be directed by Director Hwang In Hyuk whose remarkable work is Doctor Prisoner and the script was written by Kim Joo Hee.


Byeon Woo Seok will play the character of Prince Lee Pyo who has a rebellious beauty in the era of prohibition; he is not destined to be a crown prince, but he’s now the only prince to succeed the throne.

Kang Mina, on the other hand, takes the role of Han Ae Jin, a straightforward and stubborn woman who is the only daughter of a prestigious family.

She grew up in a well-off surrounding and has firm choices in life as she refuses to do what she hates and doesn’t want to do, even if she dies.

Reaching the marrying age, she decides that she wants a good-looking husband whom she can look and stare at for the rest of her life.

Meanwhile, When Flowers Bloom, I Think of the Moon will begin filming this May and it scheduled to air in the second half of this year under KBS.
