ICYMI: Got7’s Bambam and Youngjae noticed self-written song made by their Filipino fans, “Win This Fight”

Good things really come to those who wait!

As a fangirl, each of us dreams to be noticed by our favorites. And Got7’s Bambam just turned Ahgases’ (Got7‘s fandom name) one ordinary Sunday night into an extraordinary and memorable one!

On his Vlive last May 24, he was just randomly listening and sharing his old school playlist. He is also the type to read random comments from fans and fortunately, he noticed several comments saying, “listen to Ahgase song Win this Fight“. Bambam being curious, he searched for it and was shocked that there was really an Ahgase song!

A video from his Vlive uploaded by a fan in twitter. You may watch the full video here: https://www.vlive.tv/video/249803

While playing it, he expressed that he’s really touched and said that it has a very nice melody. He even promised that he will share it with his members, make time to finish the song to add some melody and upload it on either his Youtube or Instagram account.

Well, it seems that Bambam really shared the song to his boys! On May 26, Youngjae went on live and played the piano to learn the right keys for the song. He even posted a picture of it.

The Song

“Win this Fight” is a self-written song made by Ahgases Riezl and Sheena, cousins from Tagum City, Davao Del Norte, who shared a common passion for music and overflowing love for Got7.

In an interview, they are still in awe that the song was really noticed by Got7. They said that it was composed way back on May 27, 2019. When asked what motivated them on creating the song, they answered:

We decided to compose the song during their Eclipse era, and we were driven by our emotions since we believe Got7 is underrated, and we saw on some of the tweets that they were sad, so we wrote the song to keep them motivated and to let them know that we will win this fight.”

The song was also a fan project proposal for the Got7’s Keep Spinning in Manila on 2019. The two mentioned that being noticed by Got7 is beyond unimaginable. However,

We were (still) hopeful at the moment because who wouldn’t want their work to be seen by their idols, which is why we were so surprised that they did.

One of them is also a Bambam bias. She (Riezl) said that it’s really hard to believe but a great privilege and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. She added, “I don’t know how to express how I genuinely feel, but I am extremely glad and grateful.

Message to Co-Fangirls and Fanboys

What we’ve learned from our experience is that you should never get tired of waiting; your time will come, so don’t be hesitant to share your talents and show your affection for your idols.

As a fellow Ahgase, this moment really touched my heart. Your hard work being acknowledged by your favorites is very fulfilling. So to all the fangirls and fanboys out there, don’t lose hope. God surely has His own perfect timing for everything. And continue doing the things that make your heart happy. 💚

Moreover, these two Got7 members are busy with their individual projects. Youngjae is doing a musical called Midnight Sun and will star on an upcoming Netflix sitcom So Not Worth It. This will premiere on June 18, 2021. Bambam, on the other hand, is set to release his first solo album called Ribbon, on June 15, 2021.

Let’s keep supporting them on their future projects!
