BULGASAL: Immortal Souls

It is a fantasy drama about two people who have been together for more than 600 years. When Dan Hwal (Lee Jinwook) was still in his human form, he was a military officer who was transformed into an immortal owing to a mysterious incident.

He’s been alive for 600 years now. Min Sangwoon (Kwon Nara), a former immortal who has been resurrected as a human, is the next person he encounters. She wants vengeance on people who have caused her pain in the past.

This drama is said to have been based on the handwritten notes of a guy who escaped from a North Korean political prison camp. When tear gas exploded like fireworks into a female college dormitory, a guy drenched in blood jumped in.

The totalitarian government in 1987 is explored in this political drama. Then a female student attempts to hide him and looks after him and they’ve been in a romantic relationship since then.
