WATCH: Korean webtoon “Lookism” gets a Netflix anime adaptation!

One of the most-loved Korean webtoons is finally getting the anime adaptation it deserves!

On September 25, Netflix dropped the official teaser for their anime adaptation of Lookism. It is a Korean webtoon written by Park Tae-jun. The anime is produced by Studio Mir, the same one that’s also behind “DOTA: Dragon’s Blood” and “The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf.”

The webtoon is currently available on Line Manga and Naver Webtoon. It follows the story of Park Hyeong-seok (Daniel Park), who’s been struggling and being bullied due to his physical appearance. His life suddenly changes as he wakes up to a body that is the total opposite of his—good-looking, physically fit, and loved by many.

Similar to the original webtoon, the anime adaptation of Lookism will highlight societal issues present in this modern society.

The anime will be available for streaming this November 4 on Netflix.
