Korea reports 77,604 Covid-19 cases, most in 83 days

Korea recorded 77,604 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, the highest daily total in 83 days and up threefold from the day before, according to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency.
 
The number of critically ill patients stands at 443, and 24 deaths were reported.
 
The cumulative number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Korea is 27,408,854.
