Marine swept away during search for missing rain victims found dead

A Marine lance corporal who was swept away by strong currents on Wednesday morning while searching for people missing from last week’s heavy rains in Yecheon County, North Gyeongsang, has been found dead.
 
Officials from the Gyeongbuk Fire Service Headquarters and Marine Corps announced that the lance corporal was discovered at around 11:08 p.m. on Wednesday in the same stream where he had gone missing.
 
Firefighters said the Marine was in a state of cardiac arrest at the time of discovery.
