Jennie is definitely on fire as her single “Solo” achieved over 300 million listens to the world’s largest music streaming site, Spotify, making her the 1st Korean solo artist to reach the said figures. This is confirmed by her agency, YG Entertainment, on June 30.

“Solo” also exceeded Psy’s “Gangnam Style” in October 2020. As of the moment, it holds the most played Korean song by a solo singer on Spotify. This song was initially released in 2018 when Jennie made a solo debut.

Blackpink is a South Korean girl group that debuted in 2016. The group consists of four talented girls, namely Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa. Just recently, their debut song “Boombayah” sets also a new record with 1.2 billion views on Youtube as it became the first Kpop debut video to reach the said numbers.
