Jun Yeol and Jeon Do Yeon star in iQiyi Original Series, “Lost”

Actor Ryu Jun Yeol (Reply 1988, Lucky Romance, A Taxi Driver) and actress Jeon Do Yeon (A Man and a Woman, Secret Sunshine, Birthday, The Housemaid) teamed up in a new promising slice-of-life drama written by Kim Ji-hye and directed by the award-winning director, Hur Jin-ho.

The drama “Lost” tells the realistic story of ordinary people who haven’t become anything yet despite all their hard works in their lives.

Lee Bu Jeong, played by Jeon Do Yeon, is a 40-year-old woman works as a ghost writer who aspires to be a writer. She’s stucked, continues to fail and loses her drive in life. She doesn’t know where to go with her life even after trying hard.

Ryu Jun Yeol plays Lee Kang Jae, a 27-year-old man who runs a service where employees act out whatever roles clients request. He is afraid that he is unable to achieve anything. He aspires to get rich to avoid his life deep in poverty.

“Lost” is the first TV series by director Hur Jin-ho. While reading the episodes written by Kim Ji-hye, he visualized Jeon and Ryu as the main protagonists in his mind, and fortunately they both agreed to participate.

The two actors were very excited to work with each other as this will be their first return to the small screen in five years. Jeon Do Yeon was surprised that Ryu Jun Yeol accepted the role for the drama.

“I didn’t expect Ryu to say yes,” said Jeon. “I thought actors would prefer grand stories, especially after watching his performances in Money, but he surprised me,” she said during the press event for the drama.

Ryu accepted the role even before reading the script as he believes that every work of his co-actor Jeon would be great. “If Jeon Do Yeon is joining the team, do you need another reason? Of course I would be a part of it!” he stated.

“Lost” focuses on two people who have yet to figure their lives out. With everything unachieved while lost in their little, crazy dark reality that is life, how will they shed light on each other’s dark, empty and lonely paths and heal each other?
