Netflix’s The Silent Sea with Gong Yoo, Bae Doona, and more will premiere this December 24!
The Silent Sea’s release date is an advance Christmas treat to all the K-Drama fans out there!
Set to air this Christmas eve, Netflix’s The Silent Sea will bring its viewers to a unique space-centered Korean series. Netflix has also released the first key art teaser of the said series featuring Bae Doona. Doona will portray the role of Song Jian. She is an astrobiologist who has just set foot on the moon.
Set in the year 2075, Jian is part of an elite researching team sent to the moon in an abandoned Korean research base. The team are currently on a journey to save the Earth from its depleting natural resources. Aside from finding solutions to save their home planet, the team members are met with mysterious predicaments and unforeseen events that happens in outer space.
The Silent Sea is based from the 2014 film of Choi Hang-yong. It gained a lot of recognition during the e 13th Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival. Aside from Bae Doona, actors Lee Joon, Gong Yoo and more will join the series.
The series is set to have its worldwide premiere this Christmas eve, December 24.
