NU’EST’s Baekho, Golden Child’s Y & Joochan, SF9’s Taeyang, and ASTRO’s Sanha to star in upcoming musical, to be directed by Super Junior’s Eunhyuk
Ever imagined seeing the top idols of this generation performing on one stage? Now, it’s possible with SHINSWAVE’s upcoming musical “Altar Boyz”!
On November 17, SHINSWAVE announced that Super Junior’s Eunhyuk will be directing the musical. This will be Eunhyuk’s musical directorial debut.
While on November 19, SHINSWAVE announced the casts of their upcoming musical and it features the global K-pop stars that we all love!
“Altar Boyz” is a musical written by Kevin Del Aguila, composed by Gary Adler, and lyrics by Michael Patrick Walker.
It is about a dance-vocal group that consists of 5 boys who aim to deliver comfort and love to the audience through their performances.
NU’EST’s Baekho’s who made his musical debut through SHINSWAVE’s “Song of the Sun” is back with another musical and will be playing the role of the group’s leader named Matthew.
Golden Child‘s Joochan who recently starred in SHINSWAVE’s “On Air” is ready to show his musical talent again through the role of Mark, who is in charge of the choreography of the group.
Meanwhile, Golden Child‘s Y, SF9’s Taeyang, and ASTRO’s Sangha will be making their musical debut. They are gaining attention from fans as they are ready to take the next step and explore the world of stage musicals.
Y will be playing the role of Luke, who is known as the bad boy of the group that you can’t ever hate.
Taeyang will be playing the stylish member named Juan, who is in charge of the group’s costume.
Lastly, Sanha will be playing the character named Abraham, who is the lyricist of the group.

In 2018, “Altar Boyz” was previously performed in Japan with a powerful lineup of the cast as well: Super Junior’s Yesung, 2PM’s Chansung, Highlight’s Dongwoon, and INFINITE’s Dongwoo.
“Altar Boyz” will be held at KBS Arena from December 18 to December 24.
As for international fans who can’t come to Seoul, live online viewing will be available at Meta Theater.
