ICYMI: GOT7’s Jackson appeared on promotional video for Tokyo Olympics

Jackson Wang is really living up to his Team Wang’s brand tagline, “Let’s make history”, as he became the first ever Kpop idol to do a promotional video for the Tokyo Olympics!

The former Youth Olympic fencer lead the video as he goes back to the last 100 years of the tournament and reminded us that it is #StrongerTogether. He shared the stories of some athletes who left a mark on the Olympic’s history.

Check out the link below to watch the video that was uploaded last July 17.

Prior to becoming an idol, he was a professional fencer. He was part of the Hongkong’s national fencing team and was ranked 11 at the Youth Summer Olympics in 2010. On his fencing journey in 2011, Jackson won first place at the Asian Junior and Cadet Fencing Championships, had been offered a sports scholarship at Stanford University, and was getting ready for the London Summer olympics.

However, he left all of these to pursue his dream of becoming a performer. Jackson once said that when he gets old, he didn’t want to have any regrets. He knew that he might fail or succeed with his chosen path, but at least he tried.

Last July 15, he also released California REMIX with Rich Brian, NIKI, and Warren Hue. You can watch music video below.

Recently, he revealed that a physical album will be released on November. He also mentioned a possible concert next year. Are you all excited? You better save up already, mga bes!

We are so proud of you, Jackson! Let us keep on supporting him on his future projects.
